2012 MTV Movie Award Nominees Announced
We’ve found it hard to take the MTV Movie Awards seriously in the past, and no doubt, that is their goal (Channing Tatum, Best Male Performance?). But God bless MTV for giving neglected film genres their night in the spotlight.

Alternate HARRY POTTER 8 Pix Show Voldermort Could Have Had It Worse
Were you like us and thought the You-Know-Who got off too easily at the end of Deathly Hallows Part 2? Well, these pictures of an alternate take of Voldy’s death show that it could have been a bit different. Presumedly this was a bit too gory for the younger Potterheads. Whatever. I watched Nazi’s faces melting and exploding when I was 10 and I turned out ok.
More Creepiness from THE WOMAN IN BLACK
You’d think Harry Potter wouldn’t be as afraid of ghosts as he is in this new trailer for THE WOMAN IN BLACK, but he looks sincerely creeped out. Why doesn’t he just cast a…what? Daniel Radcliffe is playing a lawyer settling a haunted estate in this one? Oh, well it that case, I’d be wetting my pants too!
THE WOMAN IN BLACK comes out Feb. 3.
Hairy Potter and the Place of Three
So He Geek and She Geek took Buffy the GeekDog to the local PetSmart this weekend for the annual Howl-O-Ween photo op and costume contest. The picture they took sucked royally. We did a family picture and the dude got me and the missus, but cut off half of Buffy’s head in the shot. REALLY???
But the good thing was Buffy (and by extension, She Geek) took home third place in the costume contest for her hastily improvised Hairy Potter costume, cobbled together from a kid’s Gryffindor robe from Goodwill, a straight stick from the yard as a wand, and a whole mess of safety pins. Still She Geek, the new pageant mom, made it work.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK Trailer
Yesterday we brought you just a sneak pic of Daniel Radcliffe’s new film The Woman In Black, and lo and behold, today we get the full teaser trailer. O Danny boy is loooking a bit grown up in this one. Granted there’s no dialogue in the trailer so we can’t get a good read, but visually, it looks pretty creepy.
