I minored in marketing back in college and love the science of advertising. However I’m guilty of thumbing past printed ads and fast forwarding through commercials on my DVR (unless I catch Jake from State Farm). However the Battersea Dogs & Cat Home in the UK has a series of interactive billboards that would have me not just stopping to watch but running up to the sign to give it a big hug!
Besides the fact that the ads feature a cute shaggy pup (my weakness), the billboards track pedestrians using a chip in a leaflet handed to them earlier by a shelter volunteer and play a clip of the dog as if he were following them along trying to go home with them.
And who can resist a face like Barley’s?
