2014 Academy Award Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 2014 Oscars were revealed today. Meh. Nothing amazing as far as we’re concerned. The Academy started to allow up to ten nominees for Best Picture a few years back in order to give the more “mainstream” movies a chance to shine, but that didn’t seem to happen this year, Gravity being the only one that fits that idea. Possibly The Wolf of Wall Street. All we know is that our annual binge-watch-the-Best-Picture-noms won’t be as exciting. Oh well, one down and eight to go.
